Two years. A person, can serve a maximum of three (3) consecutive two year terms, for a maximum of six (6) years as elected Director, shall not be eligible to serve again as a Director for one year after completing their third term.

Board Requirements

All members of the Board of Directors must have a commitment to the Mission of NorCal Hope United. Contributions to be made in the form of time, service, or fiscal donation, at levels to be determined by the Board.

Board Meetings

NorCal Hope United requires a minimum of 4 board meetings each fiscal year. Notification will be sent to your e-mail along with a courtesy call 14-days prior to the meeting including information of the meeting location or Zoom/Google Duo login information. You will also receive a 24-courtesy reminders that will be sent out in the same manner.  (Text notification is optional upon request)

Committee Meetings

Committees meet at the pleasure of committee members in order to accomplish certain tasks by established deadlines. Attendance and participation is essential for the committees to accomplish their goals.

Other Time Requirements

• Annual Meeting is held in February each calendar year. 
• Strategic Planning: We hold a half-day retreat (locally) each year to review and update our strategic plan.
